A couple of weeks ago, while foraging for dinner on the way home from the office, I inadvertently strayed into a clearway for bicycles at the same time (what impeccable timing!) as the traffic inspector was trolling for prey. A girl from the shop ran out and suggested I move on quickly, which I did, but not before the inspector’s camera caught me in the wrong spot. Parked around the corner and walked back to my fresh pasta store to discover that the inspector was in actual fact parked in the clearway himself – so I returned the compliment with my mobile, as you see here. Question – if it’s not a good idea for me to block the bikeway, why is he there?
